Palm Springs, California in 35mm

I’ll forever love the desert. In June I took a last minute trip to Palm Springs to work poolside, relax & meet up with some friends. My only other visit was a few years ago and I just passed through for a night. I really enjoyed spending a few days getting a better feel for the little resort city, which brought to mind both Florida & Las Vegas. Normally reading that kind of description would make me cringe, but Palm Springs pulls it off quietly with it’s mid-century modern architecture, spectacular sunsets, desert heat, endless pools & palm trees.

I was there for a couple days on my own, which gave me the opportunity to ride my hotel bike around and take photographs. I continued to lug my old Pentax around with me once my friends arrived, to different hotels, pools & parties, through late nights & early mornings. This is what I shot.
